I’m not kidding!! Most of us like to crib about the quality of education.
Salman Khan (no, not the one who likes to take his
shirt off unfortunately J), actually
decided to do something about it! And how!!! He quit his high paying hedge fund analyst job to start
Khanacademy.org which features
more than 2,600 videos on high school math, science, history etc. Not only this. It also has videos for students preparing for the hallowed
IIT-JEE,
SAT and
GMAT. It’s a
not-for-profit organisation with funding from
the Gates Foundation and now
Google.
It has set itself the rather modest goal of changing education for the better by providing a free world-class education to anyone, anywhere (and anytime, I should add).
